“Try the grey stuff, it’s delicious! Don’t believe me? Ask the dishes!” said Lumière.
Fall into Disney heaven at Town House at The Kensington with their new whimsical afternoon tea inspired by the new Beauty and the Beast film. The Tale As Old As Time afternoon tea will be complete with Mrs. Potts and Chip Potts dishware – time to be their guest.
Eat your way through the film, with cakes inspired by classic scenes. Begin with a vanilla and gold Jelly, served with your own Mrs. Potts teapot full of cream then let the iconic Belle and Beast snowball fight happen with a coconut and chocolate snowball macaroon. Next, treat yourself to a delicious chocolate tart with Cogsworth adorable little face featured – almost too cute to eat. Almost… Town House has even made the ‘Try the Grey Stuff’ from a white chocolate mousse. With a twist on the traditional scones, Town House will offer Marie’s sweet brioche baguette with apricot preserve and chocolate pot, referring to the local baker from Belle’s hometown in the film. And, because it’s afternoon tea, and no afternoon tea is complete without a little something savory, indulge in bite-sized venison pie, cheese souffle with Roscoff onion Pissaladiere, and a rich and delicious beef ragu and saffron arancini served with lemon crème fraiche.
Afternoon tea, a tale as old as time and one we’ll never bore of.
The Tale as Old as Time Afternoon Tea Menu at Town House at The Kensington is available from 13th to 26th of February and on Saturdays and Sundays until the end of March
