What if we told you there was a world beyond Netflix and Chill? For those sick of the lacklustre choice of English Netflix (we miss proxy browsers), and sitting at home in their pyjamas all weekend (no judgement) we have a solution: Backyard Cinema has taken on Tarantino. We repeat, Tarantino.
What once started as a homemade project in owner Dominic Davies’ very own back garden has grown to be one of London’s most recognised and sought after alternative cinema experiences. Since moving into it’s new, permanent home, Backyard Cinema has produced the Lost World as a jungle adventure, and created an enchanted Christmas forest with the Winter Night Garden. March will see them create The Last Chapel; a Tarantino-themed chapel with another fully immersive set build and live actors to accompany the experience. Set in an abandoned chapel, deep in the Nevada Desert (Borough, SE1), and hosted by a rather unhinged priest who is still seeking salvation, this immersive cinema experience celebrates everything to love about Tarantino’s cinematic repertoire.
Featuring live theatre elements, subtle references to Tarantino’s films, and an impressive playlist, Backyard Cinema promises a great night out. Showing everything from Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill and True Romance to classics such as Leon, the Shawshank Redemption and Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, The Last Chapel promises to deliver an action-packed lineup of blockbuster movies. If that wasn’t enough, they will be adding an in-house themed bar; ‘From Dusk ‘Till Dawn’.

Backyard Cinema’s The Last Chapel: Tarantino Series runs from Thursday 23rd March – May 2017
