There’s nothing better on a Sunday then getting everyone round for Sunday lunch, cooking up a big roast, tucking in and forgetting it’s Monday tomorrow. Brook Green brasserie, Mustard, will be doing just that over the next few months as they invite three of their favourite chefs in to cook up different roasts.
Starting on 14th May, Marc Wainwright, Head Chef at Le Vacherin in Chiswick will be celebrating spring with a roast leg of lamb accompanied by duck fat roast potatoes, stem broccoli, glazed carrots, Yorkshire puddings and apple crumble and clotted cream for pudding. The following month (25th June), Andy Needham, Chef Patron of L’Amorosa will be taking inspiration from his childhood growing up in Yorkshire to cook up mustard glazed roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, sugar snap peas and thyme roasted carrots, which will be rounded off with bread and butter pudding and aged balsamic strawberries. Finishing things off on the 9th July will be Paul Merrett, Saturday Kitchen regular and owner of Sheen’s The Victoria. There’ll be peppered chicken, chargrilled Mediterranean vegetables, summer greens, roasted charlotte potatoes and Yorkshire puddings, before ending with custard tart served with raspberry sorbet.
Take your friends, make the most of the weekend and revel in the fact that you don’t have to do any of the hard work, just the eating.
Tickets for Mustard’s West London Sunday Roast Love-In will be £25 to include a welcome cocktail, the roast and pudding, with children’s portions also available (please specify upon booking).
