Ever get tired of spending hours on end looking online for a great place to eat, with a menu and stunning scenery to match? So do we – sometimes it seems impossible to find a restaurant that ticks all three boxes when it comes to dining out in London.
Fear not, (quite literally for some) as the team behind award-winning sustainable fine dining restaurant Orwell’s seems to have found the answer. In partnership with specialist events company ‘London in the Sky’, Co-Chefs Ryan Simpson and Lim Trotman will bring their culinary talents from Oxfordshire to London for the first time, serving up a five and six course lunch and dinner respectively this July as part of a wider 12-day pop-up.
As the name suggests, guests who dare take up a seat at the infamous sky table will be suspended 100 feet above the ground during the hour long sessions. For those who need a bit of Dutch courage in between courses, Orwell’s Restaurant Manager, Arnaud Delaporte, will also be on hand to serve an excellent choice of wines, cocktails and spirits.
Guests will also be treated to a stunning skyline view of the city whilst tucking into Simpson and Trotman’s specially designed menu. Each dish strongly reflects classic pub meals with the modern twist Orwell’s has become renowned for by food critics from The Daily Telegraph and Tatler Restaurant Guide. Think beef tartare with charcoal, fungi and tarragon, and muntjac with tomato, courgette, artichoke and bacon.
High end dining is about to be taken to a whole new level.
London in the Sky is taking place 19th – 30th July 2017. The Orwell’s event is taking place Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th July
