Someone wise once said, ‘If you lose your shoe at night…you’re drunk’. Tongue in cheek coffee shop blackboards and TfL whiteboards are full of wisdom and whilst we can’t all live a real life fairytale (cocktails are just too appealing), we can now be a princess for day. In fact, call that a night.
We told you about the sellout Beauty and the Beast-inspired afternoon tea a couple of months ago, but now it’s the turn of Hans Christian Andersen’s Princess and the Pea to be reimagined; as a Garden Pea cocktail (made with gin, St Germain liquor, olive oil, saffron syrup and pea purée) and an overnight stay in the Royal Borough to be precise.
Launching on Monday 5th June, The Ampersand Hotel’s new Princess and the Pea-inspired overnight stay package starts with secret cards hidden under your pillow – although instead of 20p and a message from the tooth fairy, the cards will reveal unique prizes. Everything from afternoon tea for two to tickets to Kensington Palace’s Diana: Her Fashion Story exhibition will be hidden so your royal experience can continue even when you’re out of bed.
Unfortunately, we can’t promise multiple mattresses but we can promise a 5-star experience, just a few minutes’ away from Kensington Palace.
The Princess and the Pea package is available from 5th June – 3rd July 2017 at The Ampersand Hotel
