Rick Stein Brings Cornwall to The Goring

Cornwall; famous for its clotted cream (jam first, cream second), rugged coast and Cornish pasties – it’s a far cry from the polluted skyline of London. If you are feeling the itch to grab your sunglasses and escape to the beach then hold off for a little. Godfather of Cornish cooking and all round seafood maestro, Rick Stein, is teaming up with his son Jack to bring a taste of the Cornish seaside to luxury hotel, The Goring this summer.

Collaborating with The Goring’s Michelin-starred chef Shay Cooper, the Stein’s will produce a seafood-inspired menu titled ‘A Taste of Cornwall’, using the freshest fish, crabs and lobsters from the picturesque Cornish Riviera whilst matching the best wines to complement each enticing dish (Stargazy Pie may even feature!).

Internationally recognised for their flawless hospitality and a favourite with the Royal Family for over a century, The Goring know a thing or two about adding a touch of comfort and character. Guests will feel transported to the shores of Land’s End as The Goring’s beautifully kept gardens become a customised beach, creating a relaxing atmosphere for dining on the veranda. The table settings will also have a classic seaside theme to truly celebrate the harbours of Cornwall setting sail for the city.

With a gentle breeze and first class food, you can almost taste the salty air…
