Over the last few weeks, Londoners have showed their strength and solidarity after the London Bridge attack on 3rd June. On Wednesday 28th from 5pm, London Bridge Open Kitchen, the third annual al-fresco event will still being going ahead beneath The Shard because great food and drink will always bring Londoners together.
To show their support, London’s favourite traders were eager to take part and bring life back into an area that has been deeply affected recently. Taking place along the London Bridge station railway arches on St Thomas Street the restaurants confirmed to participate include: Aqua Shard, Texas Joe’s, Bob’s Lobster and Village East. There will be a wide range of different cuisines that exemplify the variety of the city from Asian to South African to Mexican, plus milkshakes for the sweet tooth from Fatty’s Caramels.
In true London form, there will of course be alcoholic beverages too. Bermondsey Tonic Water will be providing the G&T’s, while Hiver Beers, Anspach & Hobday and Fourpure will cover the beer. Plus The Hide and Nine Lives will be serving something different with their Twisted Mojitos and ‘waste not, want not’ cocktails.
