Next month, Company Below, Greek Street’s hidden drinking den will be playing host to some of London’s best bartenders for a month of cocktail masterclasses and bespoke drinks and you know we can’t get enough of cocktails.
Each week throughout August a different bartender will be showing you how to mix drinks as well as creating a signature drink for that week and first up it’ll be Miguel Arbe Rey, aka the Executive Bartender from the Ceviche group. Bringing the pisco to the party, his guest cocktail, Jamming, is made from Barsol Acholado Pisco, corn water, coriander and black peppercorn cordial and finished with a hit of Amarillo chilli oil. Following him will be Gabriele Manfredi, Head Bartender at the award -winning Oriole, who will be taking drinkers on a trip around the world with inspiration coming from the far-flung corners of the earth.
Later in the month, Bar Manager at The Blind Pig, Jay Doy will be there to create his drink, Lost and Found made with pisco, triple sec and toast and marmalade syrup and rounding it all up will be the guys at Company Below who will show you how to make Feel Good Inc, which comes complete with hues of soft pink egg whites and a dusting of bamboo charcoal. To eat, because you’re going to need food alongside cocktails, there’ll be Montgomery cheddar churros, blue cheese arancini balls and deep fried bao buns filled with shortrib, pickles and salted chilli mayo, salt and pepper tofu with peanut chilli mayo and brown butter pecan ice cream with chocolate and praline, which sounds incredible.
Shake Down at Company Below starts on the 1st August and runs every Tuesday until the 22nd August.
