Grenfell Tower Benefit Auction

Grenfell Tower Benefit Auction

When former Notting Hill local and art advisor, Lucy Meakin, heard about the Grenfell Tower fire, she decided to get a group of her artist friends together to raise money for those affected. The idea has slowly grown and now, 25 artists will be hosting an online auction of their artwork on Artsy for two weeks from the 18th July.

Artists include Tracey Emin, Dexter Dalwood, Charles Avery, The Chapham Brothers and Jessie Brennan and works will include prints, multiples, photographs and original works of art. Darren Almond has donated a piece from his ‘full moon’ series ‘Full Moon @Valley Floor’ (2013), whilst Adam Fuss is offering for your child to be photographed at either his London or Sussex studio – it would normally cost you a rather cool $15,000 but the auction will be selling the artwork and experiences at a much lower rate.

All the proceeds from the sales will be going to the Dispossessed Fund set up by London’s Evening Standard, so if you were looking for a new piece of art, or want to make your payday treat something worthwhile, head over to Artsy on the 18th July.

The auction will be held online at Artsy from the 18th July – 1st August 2017
