Prix fixe menus are often underrated – but they should be given more time, because they’re a great way to see what a restaurant has to offer, often with a menu that changes weekly if not daily and at a rate that means you can go back and try the menu more than once and without having to wait until pay day. So, you’re in luck that Alex Jackson has just launched a new summer menu at Sardine, the Southern French restaurant in Shoreditch.
The menu is going to change several times a week, but you can expect the likes of ham and celeriac or foraged nettle soup to start; followed by braised chicken with tarragon, spinach and cream or mussels and chips followed by ice cream or cheeses.
