Elvis is alive!
He also loved eating squirrel, was a black belt in Karate and owned the first VCR in America. Some of those statements are true but we’ll leave it up to you to decide on which ones. What is definitely true is that Elvis is touring again! Well the memory of him at least as Elvis On Tour The Exhibition opens at The O2 on 3rd November, marking 40 years since Elvis’ (supposed) death.
The O2’s previous Elvis exhibition in 2014 and 2015 was so popular that over 200,000 people visited to see a real glimpse into the life of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. This time around more than 200 artefacts from the Graceland archives will be on display, many of which will be in the UK for the very first time. The theme of this exhibition will centre around Elvis on tour from 1969 – 1977 showcasing dozens of examples of Elvis’ costumes and stage wear along with the guitars that he played on stage, jewellery and posters amongst many other things plus for the first time there will also be unique interviews with Elvis’ touring band.
The exhibition even has the seal of approval from Priscilla Presley who said “To have a second exhibition dedicated to Elvis opening in London is remarkable. Lisa and I are excited to share these treasured memories for this unique exhibition in London.” She will also be making a very special appearance in London on 30th November 2017, joining the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra on stage at The O2 as part of the Elvis in Concert – Live on Stage UK tour.
Long live the King!
