What did the ocean say to the lighthouse?
Nothing, it just waved.
Thank you, we’re here all week. But, if the ocean could speak I’m sure it would ask the lighthouse, (specifically Erith Lighthouse on the border of London and Kent), if it knew of any amazing supper clubs happening soon. Well if any oceans or hungry Londoners were wondering, they would be in luck as across August (10th to 27th) and September (7th to 24th) a collection of chefs will host 17 dinners at Erith Lighthouse, each creating distinct menus to complement Erith’s unique riverside location.
The menus will take inspiration from London’s exciting food culture and the area’s agricultural heritage by using local produce. Chefs included in the line-up amongst many others are Steve Keilty who was the runner up in this year’s MasterChef competition on Friday 11 August and the chefs behind Tiny Leaf, London’s first and only organic, zero waste, vegetarian restaurant on Thursday 17 August.
During daylight hours, the lighthouse will be open to the public for a series of family friendly events which aim to help visitors discover the local area with activities like treasure hunts. If you just want to enjoy the view you can lounge on the deck, passing time in the café playing board games like chess and draughts.
