It sounds like a test that even the Challenge Anneka people would turn down. But for one group of chefs, building 20 restaurants in 20 countries in 20 months has become a way of life. Welcome to One Star House Party.
In the greatest culinary adventure ever, One Star House Party are already 8 months into their grand tour and have built up a host of experiences, ready to let-loose on their customers. The combination of chefs, drawn from leading restaurants around the world including Denmark’s NOMA and London’s Ledbury and Tom Aikens, are going from place to place, building and running a one week popup serving a completely new menu built from whatever they’ve discovered along the way until that point and inspired by the experiences they’ve had on their expedition.
So far the group have travelled to China, Vietnam, Thailand, Everest Base Camp, India, Oman, Kenya and South Africa, and now they’re coming to London.
Arriving in October, the group will serve an eight course tasting menu made from their favourite dish from each of the countries they have built a restaurant in so far. The event, held in West London, will showcase both the chefs and countries but the main event is going to be the food which, given the incredible talent involved, promises to be truly special.
Reservations are available online from the One Star House Party website. If you want to share the team’s experiences of night trains through Vietnam and Everest Base Camp then do book your tickets now.
One Star House Party will be open between 5th October and 3rd of November in Notting Hill
