Normally if someone’s first response when talking about a bar is the word ‘pants’, it’s time to strike it off your list and try another venue altogether. In the case of cool Parisian bar Le Calbar, though, it’s entirely accurate: the bartenders all serve without their trousers on. And if the array of knees on display isn’t enough to get you involved then don’t worry, the cocktails are incredible too. What’s more, they’re coming to London!
Le Calbar has been an incredible success in Paris, regularly voted as one of the best bar in the city. The fact that the bartenders happen to serve drinks in their pants is almost immaterial, it’s the unusual cocktails and quality of ingredients and service that have made them hot property.
For one-night-only the boys from Le Calbar will be swapping their usual haunt just round the corner from the Gare de Lyon in Paris for The Seymour Bar at The Zetter Townhouse in Marylebone and it promises to be a night to remember.
The cocktails Le Calbar will be bringing with them include La Carotte, made up of Patrón silver tequila, lime juice, carrot juice, Skinnos Mastiha and Bondamanjak syrup and From Calbar with Love, which is created from Star of Bombay gin, lime juice, spiced pineapple syrup, Pedro Ximenez ‘El Candado’ and egg white. Other creatinos like The Roof is on Fire, a mix of Patron Silver tequila, Chipotle Chilli syrup, fresh mint, lime, Szechuan pepper and Le Ti-Top Star, which is Star of Bombay gin, Combava syrup, grapefruit juice, lemon grass, Sancho pepper. An amazing array of cocktails and an ingredient list we can’t wait to experience.
The event is free to attend and tables can be booked via Opentable. We’ll see you there, it’ll be anything but ‘pants’!
Le Calbar will be at Seymour’s Parlour at The Zetter Townhouse on 4th October, book places via Opentable
