It’s 1949 and we’re in downtown Bombay. The evening is close and the monsoon is raging, welcome to a world of gangsters, underworld intrigue and jazz.
Created by Swamp Studios, Night at the Bombay Roxy is a new immersive evening that will see you transported to Bombay Roxy, a café and jazz club housed within a former Art Deco cinema set in Bombay, 1949 – because did you know that after Miami, Bombay remains the biggest the best example of Art Deco architecture in the world? Taking place in the iconic Barkers Building in High Street Kensington (the site of the soon to be open new Dishoom), actors, chefs, musicians and mixologists will team up to bring the production to life – the storyline being based on the Indian noir novel Taj Mahal Foxtrot by acclaimed author and Bombaiker Naresh Fernamdes. To go with it will be cocktails and a feast of classic Bombay dishes.
Following Night at the Bombay Roxy, Dishoom will then open its doors in December – great things are going to be happening in the Barkers Building.
Taking place from the 27th November – 11th December, tickets for Night at the Bombay Roxy go on sale on 29th September
