Much has changed since our eight year old selves could merrily fling themselves into a large container of plastic balls, fearing no consequences. Luckily for you, the South Kensington Club Eclipse remembers these happy days too and has announced its plans to inject the fun back into adulthood with the launch of their brand new room, The BALLR. The BALLR Room will feature an array of live entertainment, as well as infamous cocktails and yep, you guessed it: West London’s first adult ball pit. Much like the ball pit of old, the BALLR room will still belong to the cool kids; Eclipse will be upping the fun without losing any of the exclusivity, with the new BALLR Room sponsored by ultra-premium vodka Ciroc, creating a playful, immersive space where speakeasy meets circus.
Eclipse has been a staple of the London club scene for almost twenty years in Kensington and Chelsea, and now boasts other international sites in Barcelona and Istanbul. The ball pit will be at Eclipse’s Old Brompton Road venue – already renowned for its cocktail menu and delightful Asian snack food – and is set to bring a little childhood happiness to London’s most glamorous neighbourhood.
Local London artist, Dan Feit, has been involved in the project, working with the Eclipse team to bring innovative interior design to the BALLR Room, transforming the walls into unique works of art. The ball pit will be joined by a programme of new live entertainment that will be at the heart of the venue and key to its concept, featuring an array of eclectic performers to make every evening truly spectacular. No fear, Eclipse’s favourite cocktails like The Watermelon Martini and Crack Baby Shots will still be on offer, but will be served up alongside a new entry on Eclipse’s cocktail menu: the signature BALLR.
