What a relief, it’s OnBlackheath

You’re probably desperate to know where OnBlackheath Festival will be held this year, well the suspense is over: it’s going to be on Blackheath. This week end. The annual event, held in partnership with John Lewis, will include throwback music from Travis, Fun Lovin’ Criminals and KT Tunstall as well as Jack Bugg, The Libertines and a number of up-and-coming artists. But it’s not just about music, it’s a day for all the family, all about food, music and entertainment.

The John Lewis Food Village will bring award-winning street food, communal dining and popup restaurants as well as and a demonstration stage packed with guest chefs. ‘Headlining’ will be Celebrity MasterChef judge John Torode, joined by Michael Bremner from BBC2’s Great British Menu and owner and head chef at Brighton’s 64 Degrees restaurant, Masterchef: The Professionals winners Jane Devonshire and Gary Maclean.

The festival will also involve plenty of kids’ events (think egg and spoon and three-legged races) so there really will be something for everyone at Blackheath this week end.
