Jimmy’s Lodge is returning to Southbank! It may only be October, but that’s certainly not going to stop us getting ready to jingle those bells and cross our fingers for a white Christmas. Luckily for us, we are not alone in our wintery enthusiasm, as Jimmy and his team are back for 2017, and on hand with a whole lot of festive cheer – and more importantly, fondue.
For only 50 days on London’s Southbank, the capital’s alpine enthusiasts are welcomed from far and wide to enjoy the treats of Jimmy’s Lodge. Perched cosily on the edge of the Thames, guests can enjoy the chilly bankside view from the comfort of the lodge – whether warming themselves next to Jimmy’s roaring firepit, or in one of the private dining Snow Globes (think igloo meets greenhouse) for toasty alfresco dining in the midst of winter.
The venue also offers the chance for a communal dining experience under the canopy at the Rooftop Refuge Restaurant, with spectacular views of London that may (almost) rival the Alps. Jimmy’s Lodge is, of course, an icon of alpine dining, bringing traditional Alps fare to the Southbank, including warming mulled-wine with orange and cinnamon, luxurious capapés, côte de boeuf, and authentic fondue: mountains of melting cheese with the finest cuts of artisan charcuterie and fresh breads.
With all areas served by a divine hot cocktail bar, and winter grill and a street food dining area with alpine grotto food stations for guests to feast on, Jimmy’s Lodge offers a little festive something for everyone. With offerings like the dreamy raclette burger and the delight of parmesan and truffle-topped aspen fries, this is a spot not to be missed. The venue can also be booked for events and parties – and open for 50 days only across this winter, it’s likely the lodge will sell-out quickly, so book while you can!
Jimmy’s Lodge will be returning from the 10th November – 31st December
