Passo: the new contemporary Italian restaurant will be opening later this month.

The menu is oozing with true Italian verve and flavour. Though the dishes are technically executed they remain simple in composition, in order to cater for a more casual dining experience.

Massimiliano Iaquinto will be heading up the kitchen, having left his previous job as Head Chef at Shoreditch House to take up this new and exciting position. Working alongside Massimiliano will be Joe Hill the group executive chef.

The restaurant caters for 40 covers and fashions itself after the deli style, common in piazzas round Italy. To continue the casual, easy come easy go vibe, they have curated a selection of great dishes that can be taken away as well as eaten in. Whether you are looking for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, an express menu, or an artisan coffee on the go, Passo can cater for your needs.

Massimiliano, says “When designing the Passo menu l combined the Italian flavours of my youth with my experience as a chef in London. We are making our pizza and pasta dough fresh on site each day. The menu features standout dishes to suit all lifestyles. We are just as proud of our vegetarian recipes as our meat and fish dishes.”

As you can see the kitchen has thought carefully about what they are cooking and producing for their new customers, and they have applied the same thought process to their wines, employing the talent of top sommelier, Zeren Wilson, to choose a selection of wines that perfectly complement Massimiliano’s menu.

It’s not just about the wines either; Sam Anyanwu, the Passo’s resident mixologist is creating innovative pre and post dinner cocktails. With twists on the good old classics and new bespoke combinations vying for the top spot on your favourites list. Yum yum.

After you have stuffed your face with Italian deliciousness, not only will you find leaving to be a problem because you are so full, you won’t even want to move because come Thursday the evening the DJ starts, and it doesn’t stop until the weekend’s over.

Passo officially opens on the 27th November 2017
