Fortnum and Mason has partnered up with Somerset House and together they have curated the perfect winter experience.
Whether you’re looking for a cosy evening in the company of a special someone, or a place to celebrate the festive yule tide with your friends and family, this is it.
Ice skating at Somerset House is a fantastic experience in itself, with the gorgeous backdrop of the old public building with the rink open to the stars and the crisp night air. Now you can collapse and gorge yourselves silly on the most fantastic menu put on by Fortnum and Mason.
Relax those well worked leg muscles, collapse unashamedly into a comfy chair and regain your strength for the next chapter of your winter experience; the Feast. Choose from a mixture of delicious aperitifs and individual dishes. Welsh Rarebit and the poutine raclette are just a couple of the Fortnum’s favourites along with the smoked salmon platter served with Champagne.
If after all that skating however your body is feeling in need of a rush of sweetness then you can always indulge in the delectably smooth chocolate fondue. Will you reach for the crushed pieces of honeycomb, the torn dough of the panettone, or squidgy fig first? Well, there’s only one way to find out I suppose…
If you’re after something a little smaller then the warming spices of the mulled wine will hum along nicely with the nutty sweet mincemeat of the Fortnum Mince Pie.
As much as we could go on about the delights of the menu, we best leave something for you to peruse when you get there.
Come night time the bar serves spirits and cocktails and alcoholic hot chocolate from the Chocolossus bar. Hopefully after a restorative tipple and a nourishing pick me up you will have found your legs once more, just enough to cart yourself round the West Wing, which is playing host to the Fortnum’s Christmas Arcade. Find the perfect souvenir be it another decoration for your tree, or little gift for yourself or others.
Open now until the 14th January 2018
