We’re into the second half of January, which means you’ve either given up on Dry January (good effort for trying though) or the end is almost in sight. How are you feeling? Better? Well when you’re back to being able to have a cocktail, we suggest you try out the boozy afternoon tea at The Perception at W London.
It’s a tipsy twist on the classic afternoon tea, where each cake is paired with a crystallised version of one of their signature cocktails. Start with sandwiches such as roast beef with Dijon mayo on onion bread and a festive smoked salmon and cream cheese on cranberry bread.
Really though it’s all about the cakes and cocktails. We’ve got our eye on the apple sphere with avocado mousse and apple compote paired with a kick of Ristretto martini although the golden chocolate cylinder with devil cake, mandarin compote and candy floss and with the Furious George sounds rather delicious too. Luckily you don’t have to choose, four cakes, four cocktails. It’s well worth a month of no alcohol.
