How often have you opened your kitchen cupboard and just found that it’s full of random ingredients? What are you supposed to do with some Marmite and a few mushrooms left over in the fridge? If you were the Cupboard Love Café you’d turn it into mushrooms coated in a Marmite glaze and stuffed with cream cheese and wilted spinach.
Ok, let us explain the Cupboard Love Café is a pop-up restaurant opening at the Jar Kitchen for one day only and they’ll be giving out free lunches and inspiring us to make use of those random ingredients we have in our cupboard, to make our money stretch a bit further each month. Each dish created costs less than £1 per portion to make at home and includes Moroccan style fluffy couscous topped with bacon, dried fruit and chickpea tagine with Knorr vegetable stock.
You’ll have to be quick though, it’s on a first come first served basis and you know how popular free food is…
The Cupboard Love Café is open at Jar Kitchen on Drury Lane from 12pm – 3pm on Wednesday 24th January 2018.
