Shish! The kebab competition that’s got us excited!

You must be kebabbing a laugh? The Great British Bab Off is nearly upon us and we doner know what to do with ourselves.

The Bab Off, on Sunday 11th February, sees five restaurants vying for the title of London’s best kebab. Organised by kebab royalty, Stephen Tozer and Ed Brunet, the geniuses behind Soho’s gourmet kebab restaurant Le Bab, the charity event will pit Le Bab against Yosma, Ikoyi, El Pastor and Pitt Cue Co.

What’s more, we already know what mouth-watering dish Le Bab will be taking into the fight after head chef Manu Canales Garces announced he’ll be putting his barbecue Herdwick lamb’s tongue, iskender dressing & meadow leaves, in a sheep buttermilk flatbread up against the competition. It’s a mighty kebab, but is it enough to K.O. the likes of Yosma head chef Hus Vedat, Ikoyi’s Jeremy Chan, Jacob Rosen from Pitt Cue Co. and El Pastor’s James Hart?

The event, held and freshly cooked at Le Bab’s Kingly Court restaurant, will give customers the chance to enjoy the five-course GBBO tasting menu before voting commences. The popular choice will be crowned winner and the results announced on social media.
