I expect that if I hit a hundred years old you’ll find me celebrating with another episode of Countdown and turning in at 8pm. Not so The Ivy. The iconic restaurant, which celebrated its centenery last year, has just announced a series of ‘lates’.
“Late Night at the Ivy” will see actors and stars perform for one night only at the restaurant, all set in the later hours of the evening.
Tomorrow Katie Deacon, who is currently appearing in Gershwin’s An American in Paris, will be picking up the mic and entertaining guests. Deacon, a ballerina by training, danced for the English National Ballet, NDB Ballet in the Czech Republic and Ballet Ireland before creating a successful acting career.
Then next month, on Wednesday 28th Danny Boy Hatchard, famous for Eastenders role as Lee Carter and stage credits including Tom Jenkins in Scrooge the Musical.
The once monthly series, which will see diners with reservations after 10pm entertained by the crooners, will recognise the restaurant’s place in the very heart of London’s Theatreland and are a great way to be part of this, while enjoying the food and atmosphere of one of London’s most celebrated restaurants.
Late Night at the Ivy next runs on the Wednesday 28th February and Wednesday 28th March and is free to diners with reservations after 10pm
