21st birthdays; a landmark in your life, you can now get into those London clubs that have are only for 21s and over, you can get a flight navigator’s licence if you fancy and if you get a custodial sentence you’ll be going to prison…soz to end on a downer. Or if you’re French restaurant, Orrery, you mark the occasion by reopening with a beautiful new interior and menu.

Designed by David D’Almada of Sagrada, inspiration has been taken from the South of France. The dining room will have muted tones of grey blue and lilac; lavender panelling, terracotta clay pots and floor to ceiling arched windows.

Chef Patron Igor Tymchyshyn has created a new menu which features the likes of fillet steak tartare with a sourdough and truffle dressing and a signature Kentish lamb wellington with salsify and garlic, for two to share. Classics will remain including the Tournedos Rossini with celeriac and sauce périgordine and Igor’s Jerusalem artichoke risotto. Love cheese? Then you’ll have 30 to work your way through on the cheese trolley. Sweet dreams really are made of cheese.

A sophisticated new look, a new offering, Orrery has grown up, here’s to the next 21 years.

Orrery will reopen on the 10th February 2018
