Where do you go when you want to listen to live music, have a few drinks and find yourself singing everything from Justin Bieber to Whitney Houston? The Piano Works, West End…obviously. Or is it obvious?
The House of Song (the team behind The Piano Works, West End) is opening its next venue, Studio 88, and it’s going to be another which is all about the late nights, the requests and the singing. There’s no set playlist, no set band, just a six-piece house band made up of over 50 musicians taking in turns, waiting to play all your requests.
Of course, you’re going to go for the music, but look out for the light-up, musically-synced tables; tuck into the Californian menu (which is served in bamboo cones) and order from the experimental cocktail list – we’ve got our eye on The Autograph Collection which is inspired by the world’s most famous recording and filming studios.
Taking its name from the number of keys on a keyboard and the fact that London’s West End is filled with creative studio spaces, Studio 88, is going to bring a little bit of The Piano Works magic to the West End.
