Before last year, Fulham and West Brompton didn’t really have much in the way of the food scene. Having lived there for six years and counting, I watched as my sister’s neighbourhood of Tooting grew into an exciting foodie hub, whilst I made do with another overly expensive pub, because anywhere that charges £3.50 for a soda and lime is expensive, even for London.
That was, until The Prince came along at the end of last year – the food saviour of West London. The former pub was transformed to house three bars, four restaurants and an incredible huge woodland garden. Finally, a place for the Schoffel wearing, loafer crew of city bankers and Exeter and Oxford Brooke alumni to congregate on a Friday night.
With the changing of the seasons, will come a change at The Prince. On the 12th April, two new restaurants will join favourites Patty & Bun and Begging Bowl; they are crispy fried chicken connoisseurs, Coqfighter and Shao Ting, a bao bar and yakitori. Spring will also see the secret garden transform with two roofs, one retractable and one clear, so that whatever happens with the weather (Beast of the East Part 6 or whatever it will be by then) we’ll be able to make the most of Fulham’s coolest hangout.
To celebrate the spring/summer launch on the 12th April 2018, The Prince is offering guests the chance to sign up on their website to receive a free frozen margarita. Or follow and like their posts on Instagram to be in with the chance of winning a magnum of prosecco – they will be picking a few winners a week!
