A Dinner Party With Your Favourite Chef

What were your highlights of 2017? We’re guessing it wasn’t the Trump inauguration, the signing of Article 50 or election of Emmanuel Macron. But hopefully you had Mark Hix’s Tales From The Kitchen Library hovering somewhere near the top of your list. However, if you were unlucky enough to miss it, then fear not, it’s back.

The format for the series of kitchen collaborations is to put some of the nation’s leading chefs in a kitchen together with chef and restauranteur Mark Hix, enjoy stories of their lives and gorge on a five-course menu, all in the intimate setting of Hix’s kitchen library. They bill it as a dinner party hosted by some of the most exceptional names in food, and rightly so.

The line up for the 2018 series is impressive, starting with a delve into Venetian cooking when Hix partners with Russell Norman next month. Expect Campari by the gallon! Next up, in May, Tommi Miers will take up the ladle with a Mexican and Mezcal experience, followed by Murano’s chef patron Angela Harnett and her Italian vibes. Toward the back end of the year look forward to Nieves Barragán from Barrafina and Sabor, and Jose Pizarro Spanish and sherry demonstration. The series will end with a fishgasm of British seafood from Rick Stein.

All the menus will, of course, be paired with a carefully crafted selection of wines and cocktails to suit the cuisine and event.

Online bookings are now open and tickets start at £125, which will include all food and drinks plus a goodie bag!
