You know what I never appreciated as a child? Naps. Quite easily one of the best free things in life. Now, when I’m desperate for an extra hour or two it’s a bit harder, apparently, it’s not acceptable to set up camp at your desk with a pillow and eye mask. And you know when you’ve really reached your peak when the weekend excites you because your afternoon plans will include at least one nap. I am at this peak.
DoubleTree by Hilton know that the struggle is real because this Monday they are offering free napping rooms, so that you can catch up on some much-needed sleep, especially as we’re set to lose an hour this weekend as the clocks go forward.
Check in between 12pm and 2pm, snack on a signature DoubleTree by Hilton cookie and a glass of milk and then climb into bed for the best lunch break ever. Your boss will thank you for it later too as according to the National Sleep Foundation, napping is proven to improve performance by 34% and alertness by 100%. I can’t get back those years when I tried to stay awake through my nap, but at least now I have an excuse to temporarily close my eyes at my desk – I’m becoming more alert.
Free rooms are available at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels at Kingston, Westminster, Glasgow and Bristol on the 26th March 2018 on a first come first served basis. It’s also one guest per room, so no sneaky lunch time liaisons.
