The world is always crying out for new music, new talent and fresh faces on the music scene. Radio 1 doesn’t half get dull when you’ve heard the same three songs on repeat when you’re at work for eight hours a day.
Is it any surprise, then, that luxury hotel K West in Shepherds Bush is launching K West Live? A night dedicated to live music and discovering new talent.
The evenings will be held on the third Thursday of every month producing an eclectic mix of new acts and established artists, and the very first of these events is taking place this Thursday, where things will be kicking off with SEN3, having burst onto the scene last year with their debut album The Drop. An unmissable genre-hopping guitar trio ready to rock your socks off.
Following SEN3 is Richard Maule, an artist who has been championed by Dermot O’Leary on Radio 2 many times and was nominated for Shure’s singer-songwriter award last year. You can expect an explosive performance from this guy; songs charged with emotion and energy, drums, soaring synths and an array of instruments.
British singer-songwriter, Rothwell, will be rounding off the evening of live acts. Following her debut EP release last year, she’s back with another EP, bringing her rich and sultry voice to the K West Live stage. Though she is a talented songstress in her own right her EP Two, showcases songs co-written with big names such as Ed Tullett and Gordon Mills.
Need I say more?
The live music kicks off from 7pm with DJs taking you up to 1am. Also, fancy a little insider tip? Be sure to get down there good and early as the local craft brewery, Portobello Brewing Company, is giving-away free cans of London Pilsner to the first 100 guests.
Free music, free drink, you really have no excuse to stay in and not have a good time.
The first event takes place 15th March 2018
