Fancy a nibble?
At The Handbook we know everyone can’t get enough of afternoon teas. There is just something so decadent and fun about them. A chance to feel classy and elegant whilst stuffing your face with yummy food and these feelings rarely coincide apart from at afternoon tea, where gorging yourself on cakes and scones is not only encouraged but is the whole point of the exercise.
If the mere mention of afternoon tea is enough to put a glint in your eye, then this one will have your nose twitching with anticipation.
Flemings Mayfair have created a Peter Rabbit themed afternoon tea. For all those that can’t wait for the new animation (due to come out on the 16th March) this is just the little treat you need to keep the anticipation at bay.
The tea will be served in the drawing room of the luxury boutique hotel in Mayfair, and has been created by the Michelin chef Shaun Rankin.
You can look forward to a tea filled with all the best bits from Peter Rabbit’s favourite veggie patch. A refreshing chilled gazpacho to start, followed by an array of delicate sandwiches, featuring mozzarella, pesto and basil. Then to satisfy that sweet tooth and stop you nibbling on the tablecloth, you can wrap your lips round the petit fours; a carrot cake, strawberry and lavander pavlova, dark chocolate and beetroot brownie and rhubarb custard.
It’s time to grab your best bunny, all Flopsy Mopsy and Cottontails welcome, ditch the detox and indulge. Besides you can’t even feel guilty as it’s all inspired by vegetables.
The Peter Rabbit Afternoon Tea will be served from 12:30 – 5:00 pm throughout March.
