Last week we celebrated International Women’s day, and the Polpo restaurants see no reason why the celebrations shouldn’t continue.
The company has partnered up with Refuge, a charity that supports women and children whose lives have been affected by domestic violence. In support, they are hosting a two special dinners with the focus on celebrating inspirational women.
Each dinner will be an elaborate affair, the first being a Venetian feast with a talk from Kimberley Thomas from Refuge Charity. The next will be a wine tasting dinner in collaboration with Passione Vino, the Italian wine bar in Shoreditch. Since these dinners are women centric, the wines have been sourced from small female producers, and will be paired with a bespoke set menu.
These dinners offer an opportunity to feast, be merry and be a part of the year of the woman, so it’s the perfect invitation to get involved.
The first dinner will be taking place on the 18th March at Polpo Brighton and the second dinner will take place on the 28th March at Polpo Soho.
