The defining band of the 90s, girl power and platform shoes, the Spice Girls, will be celebrated this July and August at #SpiceUpLondon – The Spice Girls Exhibition.
The biggest exhibition of its kind, it’s a chance to fan girl over the iconic costumes, thousands of items of memorabilia and the Spice Bus, yep the bus that managed to jump over Tower Bridge in Spice World: The Movie. Sadly, the bus didn’t go onto have any more success and washed up on the Isle of Wight, dreaming of its former days, rather like many 90s pop stars, (the washed-up part, they don’t all end up on the Isle of Wight), but just like a comeback, the current owners are working to refurbish the bus back to its former glory. And you can get involved by donating to #RefurbTheBus and you’ll have your name featured on a plaque within the bus. As well as the exhibition, there’ll be dance classes, bus tours around London and different events going on throughout the three weeks.
By the time the exhibition starts, the champions of girl power’s first single, Wannabe, will have been in our lives for 22 years and we’re both incredibly nostalgic for a little zigazig ah and terrified about the speed of life.
#SpiceUpLondon – The Spice Girls Exhibition takes place between the 28th July and 20th August 2018 at Business Design Centre, 52 Upper Street, Islington, N1 0QH and tickets start at just £10
