If there was one person’s grill we would want to get up in, it would be Jimmy Garcia, the king of pop-ups is returning to Southbank and it’s time form an orderly bbqueue.
Split across two levels, the pop-up features a BBQ Bar and BBQ Club rooftop restaurant which has doubled in size, so more of you can tuck into the six- course tasting menu and dishes such as Char Ma Lass with miso glazed charred baby aubergines, pomegranate molasses yoghurt, pickled green chili and a mint. You’ll also find a private bar in the rooftop restaurant or if you’re eating in the downstairs bar then grab a beer and look out over the Thames. The walk-up BBQ Bar will be serving super-fresh and quick BBQ dishes all under £10, like a monkfish burger with tarragon mayonnaise and dill pickled cucumber; halloumi fries and lamb skewers with green salad, flat bread tzatziki, pomegranate and chili sauce.
With just under a month to go, tickets are available now for the BBQ Club which launches on Saturday 5th May, which is also a Bank Holiday weekend FYI.
