The path from international music sensation to taco van driver is well worn, with scores of global megastars making the career move. Oh, actually no, it’s just Marcus Mumford.

Gill Meller and Marcus Mumford’s ‘SWSC TACOS’ (South West Social Club Tacos) is rolling up at The Tate for a two week residency starting today and it promises to be a tacco sensation. Joining the Tate Modern’s riverside Summer Terrace, located at the front of the Boilerhouse, SWSC Tacos will be serving some of the finest English ingredients, stuffed into their tacos, from ‘Sylvia’, their trusty 1950’s airstream, including Gloucester Old Spot pork, organically farmed retired dairy-cow beef and Hodmedod’s UK grown pulses.

The taccos themselves sound suitably delicious, with smashed fava beans (smoked clothbound cheddar, summer tomato salsa, roast pumpkin seeds), slow roast organic Friesian Beef (including summer tomato salsa, chipotle mayonnaise, pickled radishes, poppy seeds and Devon hot sauce), Pulled Organic Gloucester Old Spot pork (pickled gooseberry and red onion salsa, lovage sour cream, toasted sunflower seeds) and roast organic chicken (with pickled cucumber and coriander salsa, chipotle mayo, garden herbs).

So get down to the Tate and taste some tacos.
