Covent Garden has always been home to flesh and buns of a certain sort, just take a read of Harris’s List of Covent Garden Ladies… but for the last five years it’s also been home to restaurant Flesh & Buns Covent Garden.
To celebrate five years of bao buns and maki rolls they are hosting a five -course birthday feast on the 13th August with a menu of favourite dishes from the last five years. Expect to find the likes of Korean fried wings with spicy sour sauce and sesame; crispy duck leg with plum sauce; Bone Daddies homemade bao buns; crispy piglet belly and mustard miso and for pudding, DIY S’mores with passion fruit marshmallows and almond chocolate. All washed down with plenty of Tazaki sake.
Not only will they be celebrating their birthday by hosting a dinner, but the money raised will also be going to Action Against Hunger, a charity close to their hearts. Following on from the event on of the Operations Managers will also be Trekking For Hunger in October to raise more money for the cause.
Flesh & Buns Covent Garden’s 5th birthday takes place on the 13th August 2018 at 41 Earlham Street, Covent Garden, WC2H 9LX
