Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth: Biscuiteers’ Confectionery Afternoon Tea

Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth: Biscuiteers’ Confectionery Afternoon Tea

Whip your phone out and get Clarendon on the go, or VSCO cam (disclaimer: I still don’t know how to pronounce that), or whatever tickles your insta-fancy, because Biscuiteers’ Boutique and Icing Cafes in Notting Hill and Northcote Road is bound to get your creative social media juices a-flowing, just in time for afternoon tea week.

As we crave afternoon teas in all of their many forms here at The Handbook we were sweetly surprised by this biscuit-based afternoon tea on offer at no other than Biscuiteers, whose confectionery afternoon tea will celebrate everything that brings out the sweeter side of life. From miniature versions of their adored cakes and patisseries, to a range of their famed iced biscuits, you’ll be doing yourself a favour by not booking a dentist appointment for the next day. A peruse on Biscuiteers website has you glued like a kid in a candy shop, especially when taking a look at their ice-cream biscuit collection, which replicates our favourite ice-lollies… honestly, it’s just fab (get it? A fab is an ice lolly and I put “it’s just fab” becau… oh, never mind).

If you think this sounds pretty sweet why not upgrade your Confectionery Afternoon Tea experience to include a DIY biscuit icing session, where you’ll choose from a selection of icing colours and decorations…yep, we’re definitely kids in candy stores all over again. Biscuits to one side (of your mouth), there will also be scones on offer at the tea, with jam and clotted cream, handpiped macarons, salted caramel brownie, rose and strawberry Victoria cakes and more, with the sweet taste of success to be washed down by, in keeping with tradition, a pot of English brekky tea.

This biscuit afternoon tea really is a jammy(dodger) one, and because a custard a day keeps the doctor away we highly suggest getting yourself down there. Oh, and I had thought of another pun but…’scone now.

The afternoon tea and DIY icing is available at both Biscuiteers Icing Cafes in Notting Hill and on the Northcote Road at 194 Kensington Park Road, W11 2ES13 and Northcote Rd, Clapham, SW11 1NG.
