Fancy frequenting a bar with no fixed price list? Well enter London’s first ever honesty bar, courtesy of The Glenrothes. Let’s be honest, most of the time once we’ve had a tipple or two, the truth comes flying out – drunk hearts speak sober minds, and all that. So, surely a visit to the Honesty Bar won’t be too far removed from your typical escapades.
Opening up in TT Liquor, Shoreditch, Honesty Bar is the perfect stool-grabbing, whisky swigging experience for those who love the Scottish-born beverage. Whilst there’s no fixed price on any of the listed drinks there is a minimum spend of £0.01, if you’ve got your “Bah, Humbug!” Scrooge on, that is. Whisky novices will have the opportunity to select from a five-heavy range of single malt whiskies, with the ability to sip as you please without a price on the horizon; the motto behind the madness being “pay what you feel your dram is worth”. However, with a selection inclusive of age statement whiskies in The SoleoCollection, aged from 10 to 25 years old, matured in 100% sherry-seasoned oak casks, we’re sure honesty with a helping of generosity might be on the cards come paying time, post-sip!
You’ll travel through a range of whiskies, from on the rocks to expertly blended. Or, for those who really do think whisky is pretty neat (the puns are back), why not opt for a booth to book in advance, allowing yourself a private whisky masterclass hosted by Stuart Cassells of The Glenrothes.
So come on down to Shoreditch, and let the Honesty Bar whisk-y you away.
The Glenrothes’ Honesty Bar will be open exclusively on Wednesday 12th September in the Cellar Bar at TT Liquor, 17B Kingsland Road, E2 8AA, www.billetto.co.uk
