It’s a sign of the times that the building that was once Pacha has now become the next Market Hall, London is a city obsessed with food. Gone are the days of clubbing unless of course that’s the term you can say for eating too many artisanal club sandwiches. Well now it’s Mayfair’s turn as Grosvenor Britain & Ireland have announced that Mercato Metropolitano the sustainable community food market is opening a second site on the newly restored Grade I listed St Mark’s on North Audley Street.

Spread across four floors and focussing on local and sustainable producers, there’ll be various international cuisine counters, a restaurant, deli, cheese and wine shops, a coffee and gelato bar, patisserie, cocktail bar, brewery and a flower shop.  And that’s all before mention that there’ll be an onsite urban farm, cookery lessons, cultural programs of films, exhibitions and events hosted in the vaulted basement. The thing that we are most excited about? That they will have a rooftop terrace and outdoor bar.

As of yet there is no fixed opening date but it’s set to open in the next six months and we do know, we’ll let you know!
