OK so it might just be us, but did you ever watch Elf the movie and wonder what spaghetti with sugared maple syrup, sprinkles, mini-marshmallows, Hershey’s chocolate syrup, M&M’s, and Frosted Chocolate Fudge Pop-Tarts tasted like? Nope, just us? OK well, if you change your mind there’s is the most festive dessert coming to London this Christmas and we’re sure it’ll have you running about the streets clad in elf attire throwing snowballs at strangers much like Buddy.
To celebrate fifteen years since Elf jiggled onto our screens, East Village E20’s Neighbourhood restaurant is offering free servings of Elf”s iconic spaghetti meal this Sunday! We all know Buddy loves to smile, and we’re pretty sure this is going to put a smile on a whole lotta people’s faces, kids especially… oh and big kids, like ourselves.
The meal is constructed using spaghetti (duh!) apple and cinnamon butterscotch sauce, mini marshmallows, pop tarts, smarties, hundreds and thousands, vanilla cream cheese and finished off with a smattering of maple syrup. Blimey, looks like you’ll need to. make a very large space for Christmas dinns after that. However like having to sing to make Santa’s sleigh lift off, there are conditions to be met before you can delve into this dessert. You will have to be one of the first fifty people through the door to enjoy a screening of the modern-classic movie which will be happening at 3pm!
So if a Sunday spent watching Elf, getting (even more) into the Christmas spirit, and eating his favourite dessert simultaneously excites you, then you’ll need to visit Neighbourhood, at 52-54 Celebration Avenue, East Village, E20 1DB, www.facebook.com/elf
