London is now officially the home of the world’s biggest Christmas decoration. And at 92 storeys high, it’s nothing less than impressive. Yes, The Shard just got a festive makeover and it’s pretty incredible.

Shard Lights opened last night and the effect is great. Titled ‘Reflections’, the structure will reflect a dazzling array of colour into the sky over a 30 minute ‘show’, the pinnacle now displays hues from golden sunrises to the pinks and lavenders of the sunset and the dark blue of twilight and darkness. The structure is now Western Europe’s highest display and with the top 20 storeys given over to the installation it’ll be visible from pretty much everywhere.

In what will become a veritable attraction in itself, the Shard is braced to feature in millions-upon-millions of Insta-posts. And not least come New Year’s Eve, when the iconic tower will play a unique display when the clock strikes midnight and well into to the early hours. Forget the fireworks, check out the lights!

Catch The Shard’s Lights between 4pm and 1am every morning until early 2019
