Mondrian NONdrian, one of London’s best known hotels gets a makeover today and relaunches as Sea Containers London.

Mondrian has been a feature in our lives for half a decade, effortlessly cool and endlessly surprising. How we’ve loved sipping quite literally the world’s best cocktails, at the world’s best bar (Dandelyan, of course), or enjoyed whiling the night away at Rumpus Room, the penthouse bar with some of London’s best views and one of the coolest vibes in town. Eating at Sea Containers Restaurant is always special treat while the spa is hands-down one of London’s best looking.

Management of the iconic Thames-side hotel today passes from SBE to new owners Lore Group, who are big in Europe and the US, and along with the name change, hopefully come some new things to love. The hotel is now Sea Containers London, named after the building, Sea Containers House, the revamp will also see Rumpus Room rebranded 12th Knot, presumably keeping with the nautical theme, while Dandelyan bar will continue with it’s new concept launch at the end of March thanks to cocktail mastermind, which is due to relaunch with a new concept from Ryan Chetiyawardana (AKA Mr Lyan).

And so there you have it. Sea Containers, the new Mondrian. Life continues.
