The internet’s gone into meltdown. What’s going on with Gordon Ramsay’s latest headshot? Twitter is abuzz with speculation; is it simply the light? Is he actually a superhero? Perhaps he’s a ‘furry’?
Given the angriest man in Scotland’s propensity for f-word laden borderline workplace bullying (‘Are you a idiot sandwich?’), our personal theory is that the chef is actually a werwolf. But he’s keeping it on the downlow in case the council’s hygiene unit close him down.

But it turns out that none of us was right, he’s actually touting the opening of his latest venture, Lucky Cat. The new Mayfair restaurant aims to be a new take on the authentic Asian eating house, along with a late-night lounge will be inspired by the drinking dens of 1930s Tokyo and will take the place of Maze, his much-loved Grosvenor Square restaurant.
Slated for a summer opening, Lucky Cat will be Head Cheffed by Ben Orpwood, and the interiors will be in the hands of award winning design studio AfroditiKrassa, who have made a name for themselves creating the whole vibe of Dishoom and others.
Chinese culture reveres Lucky Cats (you’ve seen them everywhere, wagging their paws away like those solar powered Queen statuettes that I’ve always wanted), so let’s hope that Ramsay’s latest venture receives the appropriate level of fortune and luck.
