Lucha Libre, Mexico’s Craziest Sport, Is Coming To London!

It’s big, colourful, brash and violent and we love it. Mexico’s favourite sport, Lucha Libre, scores so highly on the crazy scale that Donald Trump looks like Stephen Hawking and its closest living relative, WWE, might as well be tiddlywinks. And best of all, it’s coming here.

The Roundhouse will be hosting the professional wrestling phenomenon for one day only this May, and we’re expecting it to be messy, chaotic, bizarre and so much fun.

Originating in the early 20th century, Lucha Libre has morphed into something truly unique, wrestling that’s characterised by colourful masks, outrageous costumes, acrobatic and high flying manoeuvres and lots of silliness. The Roundhouse will be transformed into a Mexican arena and we’re looking forward to a display like no other.

Some of Lucha Libre’s biggest stars will be in attendance, with The Silver Masked Man, El Hijo del Santo and The Liberace of Lucha Libre, Cassandro El Exótico joining Mexico’s new superstar, Laredo Kid and the golden luchador of the film Nacho Libre, Ramses.

Catch all the action and excitement at The Roundhouse on Saturday 11th May.
