Bringing the countryside to your London doorstep can be tricky. Let’s face it, I’m sure we aren’t the only ones cooped up in shoebox-sized ‘studio’ apartments where the only sight of greenery is weeds forlornly growing by the side of a curb. Luckily, Nyetimber has done the hard work for us all, bringing the luxurious surroundings of the Nyetimber Estate, in the depths of the English countryside, to Rosewood London in Holborn.
Nestled away in the idyllic Rosewood London’s Edwardian courtyard, floral archways carve the pathways into this new magical secret garden. Opening this May, guests will enter through an iron gate and transported to a whimsical haven. Inside, the terrace will be decorated with vividly colourful wisteria, luscious greenery and intricate lighting, allowing lovers of wine to savour the array of Rosé, Classic Cuvee or Cuvee Chérie sparkling wines.
Holbon Dining Room’s Executive Head Chef Calum Franklin has worked his magic pairing an equally stunning menu to accompany a glass of Nyetimber. Serving up breakfast for the first time upon the terrace, The Nyetimber Secret Garden offers a luxurious pick-me-up breakfast including eggs royale; smoked salmon with capers, lemon and crème fraiche; or dive into the devilish waffles, strawberries, blueberries and mascarpone, all accompanied with Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs.
The courtyard allows the summer rays to shimmer through highlighting the intricate details including the flowers and foliage delicately situated across the walls and chairs, along with the vintage garden tools and plant pots placed throughout helping to create the true countryside summer experience.
The Nyetimber Secret Garden at Rosewood London is open daily from 31st May – 29th September.
