The foodie icon that is Gregg Wallace will be turning his baldy head in the direction of Morton’s private members’ club next month to create a four-course dinner perfect for anyone who enjoys Italian food (ie all of us). What’s more, it’s being brought to us through disruptive foodie app

The TV chef will host ‘Italian delights with Gregg Wallace at Morton’s’ starting, as evenings ought, with a glass of Prosecco (we’re in Italy, after all) and a mingle with the big man himself, before we sit down to a lavish meal straight from the pages of Gregg’s book Gregg’s Family Cookbook. Sharing the iconic club’s kitchen with Morton’s Executive Chef Dario Avenca, the pair will cook up a veritable feast, paired with delicious wines.

Each course will be introduced by Wallace, starting with an antipasti of baked taleggio with truffle honey. A prima consisting of mixed fried seafood will give way to a second of hunter’s chicken with Spinach. Pudding will consist of Affogato Ice cream along with coffee.

Wine being the lifeblood of any party, there’ll be extra dry Amaro della vita Prosecco and Romitorio Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG 2016. And Greg Wallace will, of course, be ever-present, hosting a Q&A.
