You’ll be screaming for ice cream after you feast your eyes on this babe of a treat! Dominique Ansel, baker extraordinaire, is the name on most Londoner’s lips come dessert o’clock, and this summer they’ve created a What-a-Melon Soft Serve that oozes with dreamy watermelon ice cream.

The vibrant treat was the talk of the town last summer with people from across the world heading, God’s speed, to the bakery to get their share in the dreamy dessert. The bakery will serve up several tonnes of ripe and juicy Italian watermelon with tens of thousands of tiny hand-cut dark chocolate “seeds,” in what Chef Dominique has descried as having “the taste of pure fresh fruit and summertime.”

Never heard of Dominique Ansel’s bakery? Well, you’ve likely been living under a rock. Ansel is in fact the sole creator of the hugely popular Cronut; the most virally talked about dessert item in history that TIME magazine labelled as “one of the best inventions of the year.” The delight was born in 2013, in the New York chain and has since been labelled as a croissant-doughnut hybrid. Either way, if you’re in the area then trying the cronut and the What-a-Melon Soft Serve is a total must. Summer has never tasted so good!
