Nothing quite beats a hand-picked strawberry straight from the garden. But living in the city doesn’t quite bode well for lovers of nature and fresh produce. Fear not – we’ve picked out our favourite spots to pick your own fruit, veggies and flowers near London.
There’s nothing better than biting into a sweet strawberry oozing with juice with every bite. And there’s nothing better than picking it yourself. Just a stones throw away from central London, you’ll find Parkside Farm growing a wide variety of fruits and veggies that are grown specially for their pick-your-own experience. Set surrounding the rolling countryside in Enfield, it’s the perfect retreat from the smog filled city – grab a basket and you’re ready to go!

With 78 acres of farmland, it’s clear we aren’t too close to home in London. But if you’re fancying a roadtrip to grab real, hearty produce then Hewitts Farm is the place to go. Having been run by the same family for over 30 years, their PYO experience is open during the summer season with a wide range of produce on offer. There’s also the opportunity to pick your own spooky pumpkin to carve in October – or just pose innocently in front of a bundle, just like the pooch above!

Get out the big smoke and head west of London to Iver where you’ll find one of Copas Farms, offering a wide range of seasonal fruit and vegetables for you to pick at your pleasure.
