Who let the dogs out? čÉż

Long gone are the days of paw-scraped doors, howling cries and pee-stained carpets, nowadays restaurants are inviting doggies to dine in style. So out with whatever’s in that jelly-canned dog food from your local store, the stench is bad enough! And in with an afternoon tea that’ll delight even the fussiest of canines. Thanks to South Place Hotel, you’ll be able to tickle both yours and your pup’s tummies with the launch of their new luxury afternoon tea, er, doggie-style… Pawfect!

South Place Hotel have a pawsome new partnership with accessories brand, Radley (the bag people) bringing your little fluffers a howlingly delicious afternoon tea, all inspired by the fashion brand’s new autumn-winter range.

Take to the hotel’s secret(ish) oasis, you and your pooch will be able to sink your gnashers into a quintessentially British afternoon tea extravaganza, because pups deserve a treat every now and then too.

Artisanal dog food brand, The Barking Bakery have created a bespoke menu specially for your woofers so they can fine-dog-dine using high-quality “human-grade” (!) ingredients. They’re sure to be in doggy heaven!┬áTo start, they’ll be chowing down on freshly baked cheesy biscuits, before diving headfirst into low-calorie iced ‘woofins’, topped with┬ávanilla frosting and decked out with cheese bone bites. Drooling over dog food isn’t something I thought would ever be happening to me but maybe I am…

Oh and what about the humans?

You can begin by tucking into a woofing array of classically British sarnies (bagsy the cream cheese!).┬áBake Off: The Professionals finalist, Nelson Barros, has been working hard producing high-end sweet treats specially for the event. To accompany a luxury red velvet handbag inspired by Radley’s collection, you’ll find the British Bakewell bone and the chocolate and hazelnut Scottie dog. And if you think that didn’t sound patriotic enough (who are you, the Queen?), the teapots are even waving the British flag and are decorated in red, white and blue.

Finally, if you and your VIP (very important pooch (ew!)) are in need of a little post-afternoon tea snooze, extend your stay thanks to one of South Place Hotel’s plush animal-friendly rooms. These animals are certainly receiving the royal treatment as the rooms are complete with a lux king-size dog bed!

Grab your tickets for the Radley afternoon tea here now! The afternoon tea will run on select dates from August 4th until September 1st, at 3 South Place, Finsbury, EC2M 2AF, www.southplacehotel.com
