Beanz Meanz Heinz! World’s First Bean Museum Opens

27th July 2019

We’re feeling pretty old right now, knowing that Heinz have been around for a whopping 150 years. Sheesh! Their beans are the little orange treats that lather our toast in the morning and flood our baked potatoes and, quite simply, we still can’t get enough a century and a half later…

So, to celebrate, Covent Garden will play host to the world’s first official Beanz Muzeum! The beans boffins will whack open the doors to the museum at the end of August, shouting a big ol’ happy birthday to the OAP that is Heinz, turning 150!

You’ll get the opportunity to lift the (tin) lid on, quite possibly, the most quintessentially British product (don’t worry PG Tips, we haven’t forgotten you)!

You can explore all things bean – a sentence we never thought we’d write – from how the humble bean began to what the future of Beanz might look like. You can even get your own cans personalised – come on, isn’t that just everything you’ve ever dreamt of?!

Bean fans, big or small, can get involved. Oh, and we apologise in advance if the beans result in the odd bit of flatulence…

Find the official Beanz Muzeum from Friday, 30th August – Sunday 1st September, at the White Space in Covent Garden, 5 Great Newport Street, WC2H 7JB, www.heinz.co.uk
